Terms of Service

Last updated: 26 August 2026

1. Who we are

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of The Props List, including the web app at app.thepropslist.uk and the Android app (together, the “Service”). The Service is operated by The Props List (“we”, “us”).

By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

The Props List helps theatre and production teams manage shows, props, packing, shopping lists, task boards, and optional props-store catalogues. Features available to you depend on your subscription plan and any add-ons you purchase. The public beta may include incomplete features and occasional disruption; we will fix issues as we learn from testers.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. Contact us promptly if you believe it has been misused. You can delete your account at any time.

4. Subscriptions, plans and add-ons

Paid plans (Starter, Standard, Pro) and add-ons are billed through Stripe on the web. Prices are shown in the app before you pay. Billing is monthly or yearly as you choose. The Android app does not sell subscriptions; manage billing at app.thepropslist.uk/profile.

  • Upgrades take effect immediately. Stripe prorates the unused time on your current plan so you only pay the difference for the rest of the period.
  • Downgrades take effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. If you have more shows, props, packing boxes, or archived shows than the new plan allows, you must archive or delete the extras first. We will not delete your shows for you.
  • Add-ons can be added at any time on Standard and Pro. Removing an add-on keeps it until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • Failed payments: we may retry the charge. If payment cannot be collected, access to paid features may be suspended until you update your payment method.
  • The Free plan does not require a card. There is no separate 14-day trial; the Free tier is the no-cost way to try the product.

5. Pause and cancel

You can pause a paid account from Profile → Subscription. Pausing stops Stripe collecting further payments. You keep access until the end of time already paid, then the account is locked. Paused-account data is kept for 90 days from the pause date.

You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. After access ends, we keep your data for 90 days so you can download it or come back.

6. Your data

You can download a copy of your data from Profile → Subscription. You can ask us to delete your account and data immediately. Immediate deletion stops future payments. We do not refund time already paid for in the current period. Shows you collaborate on that are owned by someone else are not deleted when you leave.

7. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the Service, attempt to access other users’ data, upload unlawful content, or interfere with the Service. We may suspend accounts that breach these Terms. Storage is limited by your plan; we may remove or refuse files that exceed those limits.

8. Intellectual property

You keep ownership of the show and prop data you upload. You grant us a limited licence to host and display that data solely to provide the Service. The Props List name, branding, and software remain ours.

9. Availability and liability

The Service is provided as available. Beta software may change without notice. We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. To the extent permitted by UK law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. If we make a material change we will ask you to accept the new version before you continue using the Service.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that you may bring a claim in your local UK court if the law requires it.
